We are all aware of the current situation with COVID-19 and the impact it has had on our communities. TXAAUYFL as per the direction of the AAU national office and AAU National Football director will monitor and promote the guidelines set forth by the Texas State Government, CDC, NFHS and UIL. The determination of league play and start date will be greatly influence by the decisions of the UIL. A majority of our league organizations work directly with the local school districts for practice and game facilities. The structure of the UIL for High School sports directly affects the league and our organizations. It is very important that we monitor the UIL guidelines and schedules. Based on the current updates from the UIL, it is possible that the start of league play will be delayed. The official change of start date has not been established.  Each organization President/Director will be updated as soon as additional information is available. This direction has been taken to allow organizations time to prepare for play and implement proper safety procedures.

The CDC has provided a youth sports participation guideline. All organizations must familiarize themselves with these guidelines and implement them in your training and practice structure. The guidelines are the minimum standard that everyone should follow. It is highly recommended that additional precautions be taken above and beyond the CDC guidelines. Anyone participating in any activity understands there is a risk of exposure. Please take every step and precaution to make your environments are as safe as possible. Please reference the attached CDC guidelines and additional information. Please provide this to all your, parents, participants and staff.
